Oct 24, Dr Liliana Liverani from group of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (Institute of Biomaterials, Department of Materials Science and Engineering of University Erlangen-Nurnberg) has visited our group in a frame of collaborative project entitled "Fabrication and mechanical characterization of electrospun mats for cardiac tissue engineering". The project is supported by Polish Ministry for Science and Higher Education and DAAD for years 2017-2018. The main focus is to prepare and characterize functional electrospun fibres using biodegradable polymers, including PGS and PBS-DLS copolymers (the latter being developed in our lab) and benign solvents for tissue engineering. Dr Liliana Liverani presented also a lecture titled "Future trends in the electrospinning technique: use of benign solvents for electrospun composite fibres".
