Professor Mirosława El Fray at the conference in the Presidential Palace 22.10.2017 15:01

The first inaugural conference from the “Future Technologies” course has been organized and hosted by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda on October 19, 2017 in the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. The subject of this first conference was related to Biotechnology. According President Andrzej Duda, biotechnology will be at the absolute forefront of the development of Polish scientific and technological progress. President has also underlined the importance of financial mechanisms to be developed to support the research and development activities and commercialisation of scientific achievements. President was also talking about the importance of synergy between the science and business.

Such activity is successfully performed by Professor Miroslawa El Fray from the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering, Division of Biomaterials and Microbiological Technologies of the Polymer Institute. Prof. El Fray is involved in research on new material technologies for medical applications and the “red” biotechnology focused on medicine. Prof. El Fray is the CEO of POLTISS spin off company founded in 2015 to commercialise a PhotoBioCure technology developed at the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin.
