SILVER MEDAL FROM GENEVE 06.02.2013 13:29

                                      

      On 10-14 April 2013 the 41. International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneve took place. It is the largest event of this kind in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Exhibitors from over 40 countries showed 1000 inventions. Among the 1000 presented solutions, there was an invention developed in the Division of Biomaterials and Microbiological Technologies.

 

 

     Silver medal was awarded by the international jury to the set of inventions entitled “Telechelic macromer, method for producing telechelic macromer and composition containing telechelic macromer” and “Application of composition containing telechelic macromer and photoinitiator for producing implant for hernia repair”. The inventions were developed within a research grant financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the years 2009-2011 and within Jędrzej Skrobot’s doctoral thesis supervised by Prof. Dr. Mirosława El Fray (co-author of both inventions). One of the inventions is co-authored by Labib Zair, M. D., from the Clinic of General and Transplantation Surgery of the Pomeranian Medical University. The medal was awarded in the category “Medicine – Surgery – Orthopaedics – Material for the handicapped” and was picked up by Jędrzej Skrobot who presented the inventions at the Exhibiton.
