From 13 until 16 October 2016 Rytro 25 Anniversary Conference "Biomaterials in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine" was organized by the Polish Society for Biomaterials. A rich scientific program included Plenary Lectures given by Prof. Joëlle Amédée, Prof. Thomas Drew Prof. Didier Letourner and Dr. Timothy Douglas. Conference participants listened to 24 oral and 20 Rapid Fire presentation of young scientists and had an opportunity to discuss the 89 posters.
During the conference, Agnieszka Piegat PhD and Agueda Sonseca PhD presented the oral presentations on "Chitosan-Based Drug Delivery Systems” and "3D Elastomeric Scaffolds for Cardiac Regeneration"), respectively. The poster entitled "Synthesis and Characterization of Chitosan Derivatives as amphiphilic Nano / Microstructures" was presented by MSc. Agata Goszczyńska within the presentation of young scientists "Rapid Fire".
The Conference was great opportunity to meet the numerous Scientists presenting the latest achievements and development trends in the biomaterials science.
